Dappled Cities Fly at Red Eye Records

A great afternoon today at Red Eye Records as local heroes Dappled Cities Fly performed a free instore which delighted their growing legion of fans. The boys have just returned from the USA, and despite claiming they were suffering from jetlag, they tore through their set with great gusto. Playing mainly tracks from their new album Granddance they played for nearly an hour before generously signing autographs afterwards.
They played their classic "Cream", but it was great to hear all their new tracks in a live setting, stands out being "Holy Chord", "Colour Coding" and my fav "Within Hours". By the way the new record is excellent. Recorded in Los Angeles and mixed in Nasnville, the band has really matured whilst still keeping their unique charm.
You can listen to some new tracks at their Myspace.
You can check out more photos at my Flickr.

I was there as well and thought the band were pretty energetic for 4pm and jetlagged.
